The temperature in the Finnish sauna is about 90°C. Unlike the steam bath, the heat here is dry and each session in the sauna should be shorter. Infusions, which can be carried out with precious ethereal oils if you wish, open up the pores very quickly and intensify sweating. This must be followed by a cool to cold shower, adjusting the temperature to suit you. What is important, however, is cooling down the body, starting with the legs, then up the body to the arms and then to the head.
After an appropriate rest period you can return to the sauna up to a maximum of 3 times, always keeping a close eye on your circulation.
When you finish you’ll feel rejuvenated and at the same time your immune system will be strengthened. A Finnish sauna is a fine thing!
